  • 4 ounces dark chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (whisked)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and dark chocolate over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture, followed by the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch until smooth.
  6. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the brownie layer.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the brownie layer. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
